Rep. Gallagher: The U.S. Must Stand with Israel

Rep. Mike Gallagher today released the following statement on the barbaric and unprovoked attack against Israel:

“The Iranian-backed terrorist group Hamas launched a barbaric and unprovoked attack against Israel last night, firing thousands of rockets indiscriminately into neighborhoods and sending door-to-door to murder innocent Israeli men, women, and children. Scores of civilians are now dead. Israel has a right to defend itself, and the U.S. must stand with Israel and support their swift and strong response. Those who advocate cutting aid to Israel, our closest ally in the Middle East, must recognize that Iran and terrorist proxies are trying to wipe the Jewish state off the map, and that it is in America’s own interest to have a strong, safe, and prosperous Israel as a bulwark of freedom in a dangerous region.”
