House Passes National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2027 with Major Wins for Beale Air Force Base, Servicemembers, and America’s National Security
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressman James Gallagher (CA-01) today voted to pass the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2027 (NDAA), legislation that strengthens America's military while delivering major investments for Beale Air Force Base and the servicemembers who defend our nation.
Since arriving in Congress, Gallagher has focused on securing defense priorities that benefit the North State while ensuring America's military remains prepared to meet emerging threats.

"This year's NDAA delivers the capabilities our warfighters need to deter Communist China while cementing Beale Air Force Base as a leader in the Air Force's next generation of airpower. Building on Congressman Doug LaMalfa's longstanding advocacy for Beale Air Force Base, Gallagher has continued working to advance Northern California's military priorities in Congress.
Strengthening Beale Air Force Base
The NDAA provides $126 million to replace Beale Air Force Base's aging Cold War-era operations facility with a modern Multi-Domain Operations Complex. The investment ensures the Air Force's only high-altitude intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance wing has the facilities needed to support future missions and maintain its critical national security role.
The bill also includes nearly $2.6 billion for the Air Force's Collaborative Combat Aircraft program, building on the decision to establish a Collaborative Combat Aircraft Readiness Unit at Beale. The investment positions Beale Air Force Base to help lead the Air Force's next generation of autonomous airpower.
Supporting Servicemembers
The legislation delivers one of the strongest quality-of-life packages for servicemembers in recent years. It includes a 5 to 7 percent pay raise, expands military bonuses, strengthens housing assistance, and establishes new standards to improve living conditions in military barracks.
The National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2027 now moves to the Senate for further consideration.
