Congressman Gallagher Selected to Serve on Two Homeland Security Subcommittees

Assigned to the Counterterrorism and Intelligence, as well as the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Protection Subcommittees

Washington, D.C. -- Today, the Homeland Security Committee announced that Congressman Mike Gallagher has been appointed to two of its subcommittees. He will serve on the Counterterrorism and Intelligence subcommittee which concentrates on policies that identify and deter terrorist threats facing our nation. Additionally, he will serve on the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Subcommittee, which works to protect U.S. infrastructure against emerging cyber threats. These two subcommittees play a vital role in keeping our nation safe and defending it against physical, economic, and technological threats.

"We live in increasingly dangerous and uncertain times, and now more than ever we must aggressively combat the threat of terrorism and cyber-attacks, secure our borders and infrastructure, and strengthen our defenses," Rep. Gallagher stated. "I'm honored to do my part in protecting our nation and keeping Northeast Wisconsin safe," Rep. Gallagher concluded.
